Staff and Leadership

Please find below an introduction to our church leaders and members of staff.

Revd Paul Muir   David Mellen
Following a long career in policing Paul felt the call to train for Baptist ministry. In 2018 he began his training at Spurgeon’s College, London whilst leading a church in Kent. Following the completion of his studies and being awarded a BA (Hons) Theology Paul was ordained and accepted the call to be the minister here at New Life Baptist Church.
 
   
     
Alison   Huw
Alison Williams   Huw Williams
Alison is a retired maths teacher/deputy head and still does some tutoring with A level maths students. She is the church administrator and is also involved in the worship. Outside of church she plays her flute in a daytime orchestra and sings with a daytime choir. She keeps fit by running and attends an adult ballet class.  Alison also oversees the work at our Renew 37 wellbeing space.   After university, Huw trained as a chartered accountant and ran his own practice in Nottingham for many years before retiring in 2013.  He is of course the treasurer, as well as part of the worship band.
Karen   Charlotte
Karen Paterson   Charlotte Jackson
Karen is a retired dentist, who has worked overseas on development and humanitarian projects, as well as for the NHS here in the UK.

Her hobbies include gardening, travel, walking, photography and art.

Along with Charlotte, she helps coordinate the many homegroups and she has a passion for justice issues here in the UK and overseas.
   
Vicki    
Vicki Bragg (Renew 37 centre manager)    
Vicki was born and brought up in West Bridgford.

She was invited to give up her job with John Lewis to come and work for us at Renew 37 in 2015 when we opened.
