Small Groups

Small groups usually consist of 6-12 people from church, or those who want to know more about Christianity, who meet in church members' homes weekly to share food, pray, discuss the bible and develop deep friendships.

We have a number of small groups located in and around the area. Here is a flavour of our different groups -

Bible Study group

We have a regular study group looking at the bible in more depth

It meets twice a month (on the first and third Tuesdays)

Place 2 be
Place to bee

Place 2 Be is a group of families that offer a place to belong. There are many nationalities in this vibrant group.

Ladies in the group meet on Wednesday afternoons (term time only) from 2 to 4pm. We also have various social and family events during the year.

Open Doors prayer

One of the ways in which we partner with open doors is to pray regularly for Christians who are persecuted in other countries around the world.  This usually takes place fortnightly at 9.30am on a Thursday morning at Renew 37 (37 Abbey Road).

If you want to know when the next meeting is happening, please contact  so you can be put in touch with the group.

World prayer

World prayer

We have a group which prays regularly about issues which affect the whole world, usually at 9.30am on the first Wednesday of the month at Renew 37 (37 Abbey Road).  Issues covered include dealing with the results of climate change.

If you want to know when the next meeting is happening, please contact  so you can be put in touch with the group.

Dad's Army

Dad's Army is for men who are around during the day.  It used to boast meeting around a snooker table (hence the picture) but this has now moved.

The group meets on Thursday afternoons from 1 to 3pm.

Walk and talk

walkandtalk

A chance to get together about once a month on a Saturday for a walk and chat.

The walk frequently involves a stop-over for a cup of coffee

Meet @ Morrisons
Morissons

Set up as joint project with Morrisons and a local GP practice, we meet most Mondays at 1.30pm in the cafe area.

This is a friendship group for anyone and you are welcome to join us for a cup of tea, games, craft and a chat.

Burton Manderfield
burton Manderfield

Burton Manderfield is a retirement housing complex built in 1976 and based in the Meadows in Nottingham.

After getting to know a number of the residents in the complex, we now run a group on Monday afternoons from 2.00pm looking at what the bible says.

Oasis

Oasis meet for Christian meditation one week and alternate weeks for bible study.

The aim is to help develop our prayer life, and to study the bible to encourage one another as we live out what it means to be a Christian.

The group meets on Wednesday morning at 10.30am.

Re:create
recreate

Re:create meet on Wednesdays at 8pm in someone's home or a local pub. We also enjoy sharing life, going on walks, cycle rides, and boat trips!

We share and pray together and want God to recreate us to be the people he has always meant us to be.
