The works will be drawn from submissions from internationally
acclaimed artists as well as local amateurs and professionals; they
will not exclusively Christian in approach, and will range from the
reverent and traditional to the off-beat and challenging
Art critic Revd. Dr Richard Davey will make a personal appreciation
of the art submitted and link them to works lent from his collection.
As April Fools day falls within the Easter season (ho-hosanna?)
there will be appropriate events and a section of the exhibition
devoted to humour on the theme of religion.
Local schools will be painting trompe d'oeil murals, exporing the
concept of the virtual and the visionary, expressing their ideas of the
"hole in the wall" and imagining parallel universes.
Book early! There will be a charge for some workshops to cover costs. All are suitable for beginners.
